Body-Based Learning Practices In the Classroom

Facilitated by Caitlin Green, Bartol Certified Trauma-Informed Teaching Artist

This workshop will offer you new ways to use the body as a tool for self and group synchrony in classroom settings, reinforcing movement as supplemental to the learning process and environment. Teaching artists of all disciplines will learn skills to engage body awareness, body autonomy, and creative movement in their classrooms, rehearsals, and other creative learning spaces. With a background in dance/movement therapy (R-DMT), Caitlin's work as a dancer and trauma-informed teaching artist concentrates on the body's role in wellness and catharsis.

Childcare will be provided by Bartol Foundation for participants of this workshop. Make sure to register ahead of time so we can accommodate your child.
